I have been trying my hand at digital sculpting. Just tried a monster bust. More like a spontaneous form visualization. For the first time I got into detailing, found it very engaging as well as challenging! Dint follow anatomy by the book, just a loose expression. Loved exaggerating the form with the flow. Lord Vishnu and Arjun

My dear friends, just another weekend is counting on changing its look to bring us another wonderful set of days! I have not done much but have successfully finished painting the Lord Vishnu and Arjun sketch. It was great fun. :) The intention was to make lord vishnu bright and beautiful and to also lead the eye to Arjun who is in this blissful state. Since the design is intricate, I stuck to flats, and didn't render the elements too much. So here is the blessings of lord Vishnu for all! :) Have a gorgeous week to come guys.

Hey guys! Hope you are all doing fantastic. :) After not being regular with my posts, here, finally i have something new on the plate to show you guys. I have been thinking of trying my hands in digital sculpting, and here is the first WIP for you all. Its not done yet... but my excitement wouldn't let me resist from showing it to you guys.
Just a random character I thought of and I was improvising it as i was sculpting. I love this whole thing of creating things in 3d. :) Hope you guys like it. Have a fabulous week to come.

My dear friends, its been really long and finally I have something to show you guys. The illustration is a traditionally inked and hand painted piece. I have lot more happening in my mind but that will take time to come out. I believe that women are more powerful than men and are the origin of the human race. I have illustrated this goddess who has got 'the soul' in her hand and is about to send it to Earth to give it a new journey.

"The zen way of playing tt"

Hey guys! Hope you are all doing great. This post has got a special significance. After reading a bit more, you will come to know about it! The Friday that just passed, had plenty of fun filled activities for the Rhythm & Hues employees. The LA server was shut the whole day, so India decided to have a day with no work but some awesome activities. Morning started off with games, whistling and loud hooting. Ok, ok...I am coming to the point now. Last week we started our tt tournament. And a few matches were pushed to this Friday, of course, that involved semi's and final's. Second half of the day was allocated for the tournament matches. I was all ready to lose the match! Yes...I had already played two matches and lost one. This match was crucial. But I for sure knew that I was going to lose. For my opponent was Vinod. He is just brilliant! The way he meets the ball and sends it back with variety of spins and god knows what! It was just too difficult for me and others to play him. Well....thats why I had this strong belief that I was going to lose. And I did...with the score 1-21. He was bloody good! And I saw nothing! and I couldn't move my hand and I forgot my shots and I was blank! He won the finals. Back home, I thought I should do something for this cool player. So I came up with this illustration. Congratulations Vinod sir! And.. and....I am not giving up on my tt skills. I shall raise again to face you in the next tournament... hehehahahahahahahahahaha

Manil Paji!

yesterday, i was in search of a face to complete my mission. Which one to choose? "should be one of my friends" i thought. As i was going through our library of photos and memories, i saw an interesting lable on a folder. GOA 2008! Wow! Such awesome time we had in Goa. the scooter ride,the heavy rain and some awesome games! As i was going through the pics, i came across My friend manil's pic. Without any hesitation i took my sketch pad and start sketching. After a long time i let my hand "render" a sketch using a pencil. Here it is.... Manil paji! smile please... :D

Back to brushes!

This morning when i woke up, i heard the inner calling to hold the brush again. :) After a hot cup of tea i was browsing through a couple of books, looking for a subject. Well... this one attracted me. I quickly pulled out the acrylic tube box and dusted it first, damn...! The long awaited salvation of the color tubes! honestly i had fun doing this piece. Nothing like feeling the acrobatics of the tip of the brush on the canvas. A bit of touches here and there in photoshop and there you go... hope you guys like it!

My friends, I am still in the roll of making caricatures. I was just randomly looking for images of celebrities and bumped into this beauty. What an individual! What a personality!I kick started it immediately. Took a complete trip on her complexion and of course the hair do was quite a journey. But the ultimate fun was, doing her clothes. I am sure you guys will love my version of this beautiful blond.

hope you are all doing fantastic! well...its been really long....(damn! its so strange that everytime i start the new post description with the same lines..."its been really long" Grrrr....) i wish i could post regularly though! i have been busy with my office work and during the weekends, mostly i make sure that i do not indulge in any mind squeezing thought processes...that clearly states that i have become a bit lazy....( i am being subtle here!)... hmmm... one day i thought i will do a digital portrait and was browsing through my photo bank. and i really loved this pic and quickly tried copying on to the digital canvas. hope you guys like it! And also attaching few portraits from my past. they are of course strongly connected to my wonderful present life!;)

long time my friends!.... a big hello to you all and i believe that you are all doing great in your own built worlds. its been long and i thought i would share this illustration that i did last week.
I believe that we are all here "mainly" because of the form that held us tight and safe for 9 months. And i think, that is power! the power that can nurture a seed and groom it to a tree. "the power to endure the creation". My sentence hardly made it sound as impactful or magnificent as it actually is in its real nature. we all know it and we all have experienced it unknowingly. the world functions because of her, the world exists in her. in-fact she is the world!

Then she unties her long hair and vows that she will only tie it with the blood from Dhushashan's heart!

I've had a good weekend at my in laws place. there is so much love there, and along with that... that much food! i hogged and hogged till i felt uneasy in my stomach. but couldn't resist the punjabi khana! ok now i came back from the in laws at 9 pm and lazed around a bit. then thought would color the indie woman. here is she.... with full panache. :)

The lighting din't turn out to be the way i wanted...but am kinda having fun doing this piece. well i have loads stuffs that i wanna start on. soon i will be posting more. take care guys.
